PoolStar bills for 48 weeks of pool service per year. As there are 52 weeks in a calendar year, this means there are four scheduled weeks when service is not performed.
These non-service weeks occur during the cooler months and customers are always reminded in advance. The four set week of non-service are list below.
- The week of Thanksgiving
- The week of Christmas
- One week in late January
- One week in late February
Customers are notified of these dates in advance. This information is also included in our new customer welcome email and outlined here in our Standards of Service.
If PoolStar were to service pools all 52 weeks of the year, monthly rates would need to be higher. Instead, we keep pricing consistent by scheduling these four planned breaks.
Because months vary in length, some months include five service visits. There is no additional charge for these extra visits. Over the course of the year, customers receive 48 total services and are billed for 48 services, allowing the monthly rate to remain steady and predictable.
