Here is a brief guide on how to insert a vacuum hose into a pool so that it doesn’t get full of air and send an air block into the pipes. The aim is to insert the hose vertically into the water which then causes it to fill with water and push out the air prior to connecting it to the skimmer for vacuuming. When you want to remove it from the pool pull the vacuum head out of the pool and leave it to suck for a split second, this lets it fill with air briefly that makes it lighter to remove.
